Hello, I’m Tim

I’m a documentary photographer working in two enduring subjects: 1) the wildlife and wild places of our natural world and 2) the people, places, and stories of the American South.

I began my career as a photojournalist, drawn to authentic moments from everyday life: its challenges, celebrations, and quiet in-betweens. After many years in business, I returned to photography with the freedom to pursue slower, more personal work.

I live in the South and pursue projects that combine photography, writing, and craft. Across my practice, I aim to make work that's thoughtful, grounded, and rooted in attentive observation.
